{Style Me} Do you know your PERSONAL STYLE

Hey lovelies!! Today I was browsing through YouTube videos and came across a good video on how to find your personal style. I decided that it was time for me to re-evaluate my personal style for the upcoming fall season. After clipping through the latest magazines that I had {People Stylewatch, Instyle, & Essence} this is what I was drawn to the most.

Flowy tops, camis with blazers, and oversized tops paired with skinny jeans, leggings, or wide legged pants with either chunky platforms, wedges, or flats {more so flats & wedges}.

A-lined and sheath style dresses.

Here goes more flowy tops, wide legged pants, skinnies, blazers, and cardigans.

Hobo & satchel style handbags and unique accessories.

Flats as everyday wear and on occasion chunky platforms/wedges.

Overall, this personal style check shows that I’m more of a classic casual type of girl which is so true. Though I love patterns & prints {especially on dresses} I’m more drawn to clean-lined solid colored tops & bottoms. My style is pretty simple and I’m absolutely comfortable with that. I’ve never been the daring or flashy type. I commend those that are, what I call, true fashion risk takers.

Do you really know your personal style? Grab your favorite fashion/style magazine and start clipping. Remember to only clip things that you’ll actually wear...in public... and feel comfortable wearing.

{OOTD} Shrie oh Shrie

Hey lovelies! Today’s post is all about the shoes. I absolutely LOVE these plats. I got these beauties from Shoedazzle during their BOGO sale. Those that really know me know that I am infatuated with the 70s. From the fashion to the style down to the jive slick talk. So you know why I LOVE these shoes. The chunkiness {yes I said chunkiness- lol} reminds me so much of the 70s era. See for yourself:


I got them in a size 9. I’m glad I did because this style is a bit wide. In my opinion, Shoedazzle shoes usually run narrow and I have to end up getting a 9 1/2.


I think these plats are a great “nude” shoe, especially for brown to dark-skinned ladies because they offset our skin-tone so well.


Though the shoes fit a bit loose, they are surprisingly comfortable. I have chubby feet so the looseness didn’t bother me at all. For those of you with narrow feet these might not suit you.


Shoedazzle shoes can be high as far as height. I’m not new to Shoedazzle, so I know. The platform and heel on these shoes are at least 5” {the pics do them no justice}.

I took these pics after work so if I look drained…I am.
