{Hot Buy} Earrings + 1 Necklace

Hey lovelies! Today I made plans to take my boys to the zoo but quickly decided otherwise since it was cool out. So on to plan B which was go to the mall. I didn’t get a chance to snap pics of what I wore today though it was very cute…Just picture red shirt dress, leopard print flats, & gold accessories…yeah I know…Cute!

Anyhow, while my babe and the boys played video games in the mall arcade I, of course, went browsing around. My intentions of going to the mall was to buy new perfume but I ended up with some accessories and a few tops {not shown}.



I love rockn’ jewelry that stand out. It may be gaudy to some but it’s unique and different to me. And I can be very picky when it comes to buying accessories too. In my opinion, your accessories can make or break your outfit.

Bonus: Here are some earrings that I bought on EBay this past week. Can I tell ya’ll something? I’ve become an EBay fanatic over these past few weeks. I’ve been finding some good deals on fashion jewelry & makeup. Ok, I’m done…My EBay addiction is a post by itself.

***SN {side note}: Have you noticed that I mentioned nothing about buying shoes this week? Now don’t get me wrong that was the first thing I looked at today. And trust me when I tell ya’ I had shoes in my cart. But I still have new shoes in my closet that I haven’t worn yet, so I put the shoes I was going to buy back. I decided that I wasn’t buying anymore shoes until I wear the ones I got. We’ll see how long this last.***

{OOTD} Orange Zebra Print Wedges

Hey lovelies! Today I woke up feeling refreshed. I have been super tired lately {lack of sleep}. I finally got a chance to get a good night of zzz’s in. With that said, I still managed to wake up at the last minute this morning, which led to me running around the house like a chicken with its head cut off trying to get me and my boys ready for the day. I know I should get up when my alarm goes off {4:00am}, but I have a habit of hitting that snooze button. Just five more minutes. Then 5, turns into 10, and 10 into 30. Please don’t judge me.

It was a beautiful sunny day today. I felt like mimicking the sunny weather by rocking my bright orange zebra wedged sandals. I didn’t want to overdo it with the colors so I wore my basic denim dress. I love this dress! I have no clue where I bought it from because I had it for years. It’s one of my favorite go-to dresses. I love the way it camouflages my midsection {I have lots of chub love in that area}.

Though I received lots of compliments on my shoes let me tell ya’…these are the most UNCOMFORTABLE wedges ever! My feet were screaming by noon. I always carry a spare pair of shoes so you know I changed within a heartbeat. I love shoes but not that dang much. I refuse to suffer while trying to be cute. It is not that serious.

{OOTD} Morning Rush & a little Colorblocking

Hey lovelies! I wanted to share with you what I wore today. I literally threw this outfit together at the last minute. I was rushing, as always, this morning scrambling through my closet trying to figure out what to wear to work. I went through about 3 different outfits and this is what I came up with.

I thought this look turned out ok. I started with no blazer but then decided to rock a red one. I’m glad I did.

I kept my accessories at minimal because of the vibrant colors I wore. And look at my shoes! Aren’t they cute!!??!! So 70s inspired!! {I love the 70s. I swear I think I was born in the wrong era.}

Check out my Jaguar shaped earrings. Super cool! {I’m such a geek…lol}. I love unique looking jewelry. I’ve always been known to wear stuff out of the norm. I call it the “ugly” stuff.

{Beauty 101} Me and my Oily Skin…UGHHH!

Hey lovelies! Ok, the title of this post says it all. UGHHH!!! I am so sick of my oily skin. I don’t know what else to do. I have tried damn near everything from oil control lotions to taking supplements. I’ve even seen a Dermatologist but that got me nowhere. First off the meds prescribed were too expensive and the products recommended dried my skin out so bad that it started peeling. What’s a girl to do?

I’m tired of having to blot my face constantly throughout the day. And I’m tired of looking like I’m sweating. You know you have bad oily skin when a 7 year old kid ask you if you’re sweating {and I didn’t even know this little girl}. #totallyembarassed

I can name hundreds of cons to having oily skin. Two pros: no wrinkles & youthful look when I’m old {I have my grandmother to thank}.

{I Love...} Fashion Jewelry

Hey lovelies! As I mentioned before, I have been shopping like crazy lately. The season has finally changed {YIPEE!!} and it’s time to switch things up a bit. Spring/Summer is my time of the year. It’s the time when I bring out my girly-girl style the most. I love rocking dresses, skirts, bold jewelry, and FAB sandals. I must admit that when it’s cold I could care less about dressing up…Shoot! It’s too damn COLD! Yeah, I said damn…lol…But since it’s warm I go all out.

This is a sneak peak of some of the jewelry that I’ve been rocking. I have come to really love vintage inspired stud-type earrings {as you can see I pointed out my fave thus far} and statement pieces like the necklaces and charm bracelet. Trust me when I tell you that this is a tiny fraction of my fashion jewelry collection. One day I might share with you the section of my closet {well wall/shelf area} where I keep it all.

{Blog Update} Happy Blogiversary Chubby Diva Nique!

Now ya’ll know that’s the song of all songs {if that makes any sense…lol}. Wow! I cannot believe my blog turned 1 years old. I’m super late but I’ve been yo-yo blogging since March of 2011. It has definitely been a rough 12 months. So rough that I do not want to relive it. Unfortunately, I will not be recapping anything because there isn’t much to recap. The highlight of this blogiversary is when I went to Las Vegas and when my cousin visited me from back home {Milwaukee}.

Moving on…This blogging year will be much better because, not only did I overcome a few rough patches in my life, but I finally found the woman that I’m meant to be. I’m no longer this woman with low self-esteem & low confidence. I’ve learned to love me for me, fat rolls and all.

I want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to those that followed me and supported me from day 1. I truly appreciate you all. I know I haven’t been the best blogger but I appreciate you for sticking it out with me through the good, the bad, and the ugly.

{I Love...} I’m addicted to SHOES!

Hey lovelies! Cutting straight to the point, I have to admit that I have a bit of a obsession with shoes. It’s sad, I know, but shoes have never done wrong by me. Clothes, on the other hand…well you know what I’m getting at. Over the last 3 weeks I have been on a serious shoe prowl and this is what I’ve come across so far. And let me tell ya’ I didn’t pay over $50.00 for either of them. I love sandals, platforms, & wedges are my absolute fave. My favorite time of the year is the Spring/Summer because I get to rock cute open toe shoes {with a nice pedi-of course}. I can do without the heat though {in Texas…yea right…lol}.

I just wanted to come share with you one of the many purchases that I’ve made over the past few weeks. And judging by the picture I’m sure you know that this is only the beginning. I’ve been shopping like crazy. I just LOVE the warmer season. I LOVE rocking dresses & skirts with cute girly-girl shoes. Be on the look out for more post like this to come. I’ve been doing it big on the accessories and thrifting. Oh and I can’t wait to show you the vintage style jewelry that I bought on EBay for super cheap. And did I mention that I’m obsessed with EBay too. I’ve been bidding like a mad woman. In fact I’m bidding right now. This Jones New York dress is mine…lol…I swear I have a serious problem. I should change the name of this blog to “Confessions of a Shopaholic”.
